CanalOlympia, where culture vibrates in Africa !

CanalOlympia: access to culture and to energy self-sufficient entertainment

Backed by the Vivendi Group, the CanalOlympia project comprises 50 fully self-powered cinemas and live performance venues, currently being rolled out in Africa.

Each venue can accommodate 300 people inside, and several thousand people outside.

The venues are powered by a hybrid system developed by Bluestorage, comprising 140 kWp of solar panels and 400 kWh of storage.

This system enables:

  • The guaranteed supply of high-quality electricity, without depending on fragile grids or generators,
  • Clean production that reduces CO2 emissions up to 150 tonnes of CO2 per venue and per year.
